Is YourPostWriter really free?

Yes. There is no paid plan and no card to start. Only optional features that use an outside service billing us per use would cost money, at exactly that cost; none is switched on today. See /costs.

Do I need a credit card?

No. Sign in with your email or LinkedIn.

How does it learn my voice?

From 3 to 10 of your past posts (pasted, or Shares.csv from LinkedIn's data export), and from every edit you make to its drafts. You can read and change the voice card and delete any learned rule in Voice.

Will it make things up about me?

The AI is told to use only facts you gave it and to leave a [placeholder] for anything else. It can still slip, so every draft has "Check facts", and posts with unfilled placeholders cannot be scheduled. Always read a draft before posting.

Can it post to LinkedIn for me automatically?

Not yet for everyone. Automatic posting through LinkedIn's official API is built and being tested. Until it is switched on, copy your post and publish it on LinkedIn yourself.

Is it safe for my LinkedIn account?

It is a website, not a browser extension, and it never reads LinkedIn pages or automates likes, comments, connections or messages. Sign-in and posting use LinkedIn's official APIs.

What is the reach check?

A checklist that flags patterns LinkedIn said in May 2026 it shows to fewer people, such as "it's not X, it's Y", engagement bait like "Agree?", emoji bullet lists, AI-sounding words and posts with no personal detail. It is advice; it cannot promise reach.

Which languages does it write in?

English: Indian, US or UK English. Other languages are not available yet.

Can I use it for clients?

Yes. One workspace can hold up to 5 profiles, each with its own voice, with team roles and client review links that work without an account.

Can it make carousels?

Yes. It writes the slides, you pick a theme and download a PDF to upload to LinkedIn as a document.

Does it have analytics?

Yes, from LinkedIn's own analytics export file: you download it from LinkedIn and upload it here. You get dashboards, AI insights and the best days to post. Analytics through LinkedIn's API is not available.

Can it reply to comments?

It drafts replies and comments in your voice. You copy and post them yourself; it never posts comments for you.

Can I bring my drafts from Kleo, Taplio or Supergrow?

Yes: put them in a CSV (or paste them) and use Posts → Import. Future-dated posts go into your calendar, the rest into Drafts. See /switch.

Can I take my data out?

Yes. Settings → Export & delete downloads a ZIP of your posts, drafts, voice card, rules, ideas, analytics and carousels. You can also delete your account there.

Do you train AI on my posts?

No. Your posts are used only to write for you.

Where does the AI run?

On Surge's own AI server, using an open-weight Qwen model.

Is there an API?

Yes. Create a key in Settings → API. There is a REST API and an MCP server you can connect to Claude Desktop or other MCP clients.

Is there a mobile app?

No separate app. The website works on phones and can be installed from the browser.

Who makes YourPostWriter?
