Reach check: Fix 3 issues
Checks for patterns LinkedIn said it shows to fewer people (20 May 2026). Advice only: it can't promise reach.
Contrast frame
It's not about the tools, it's about the people.
Contrast frame ("it's not X, it's Y"). LinkedIn named this pattern as typical of generic AI posts. Say what you mean directly, ideally with something that happened to you.
Engagement bait
Agree?
Engagement bait. LinkedIn said it shows posts that ask for likes, comments or reposts to fewer people. End with a specific question about your topic, or simply stop.
No personal detail
No personal detail: add a number, a name, a date or something that happened to you. Generic advice is what LinkedIn said it shows to fewer people. Add one real detail, e.g. what happened, when, and the result.
What it checks
Contrast frames like "It's not X, it's Y", "This isn't about X. It's about Y." and "Not X. Not Y. But Z." ("not only … but also" is fine).
Engagement bait: "Comment YES", "Like if you agree", "Repost if", "Tag someone", "Follow me for more", or a bare "Agree?" or "Thoughts?" as the whole ending.
Emoji-bullet lists: three or more lines that start with an emoji.
AI-sounding words: delve, game-changer, leverage, "let that sink in", em dashes and similar.
No personal detail: posts of 20 words or more with no number, name, date or something that happened to you.
Why this matters now
On 20 May 2026 LinkedIn said generic, AI-style posts are less likely to be shown beyond the author's own network, and that it's fine to use AI to help you write.
