Playbook: use your analytics

Read your own numbers once a month and turn them into your next posts.

Once a month (20 minutes)

  1. On LinkedIn, open Analytics → Content, pick the last 365 days and click Export. Upload the file in Analytics. We never read LinkedIn pages for you; you download the file yourself.
  2. Look at your top 5 posts by impressions. What do they share: format (story, list, how-to), length, topic, time of day?
  3. Look at comments, not just likes. Comments show which posts started conversations.
  4. Click Get AI insights. It compares your formats and topics and suggests next posts. It only states what your data supports and says when the sample is small.

Turn it into a plan

  • Write 2 more posts in your best format next month.
  • Retire the format that does worst for a month, then test it again.
  • Post when your best posts went out: Analytics → Best time to post shows your best weekdays and can set your queue slots to them.

Don't over-read small numbers

With fewer than 20 posts, one viral post skews everything. Keep posting for a month before you change your plan.
