Reach check
Flags lines that read as generic AI writing, with a one-click rewrite for each. Advice, not a promise of reach.
On 20 May 2026 LinkedIn said generic, AI-style posts are less likely to be shown beyond the author's network (source: LinkedIn, "Keeping conversations real on LinkedIn", news.linkedin.com, 20 May 2026). The reach check under the post text looks for the patterns it described. It shows Reach check: Pass or Fix N issues.
- Contrast frame: "It's not X, it's Y", "This isn't about X. It's about Y.", "Not X. Not Y. But Z." ("not only … but also" is fine.)
- Engagement bait: "Comment YES", "Like if…", "Repost if…", "Tag someone", "Follow me for more", or a bare "Agree?" or "Thoughts?" as the whole ending.
- Emoji-bullet list: three or more lines that start with an emoji.
- AI-sounding words: the same cliché list as the editor (delve, game-changer, leverage, em dashes…) plus a few more.
- No personal detail: a post of 20+ words with no number, name, date or something that happened to you. Add one real detail; the AI never invents it for you.
Click Rewrite this line next to a flag: the AI rewrites only that line, keeps your facts and fixes the named issue. Check the result before posting.
In the reply assistant, a suggested reply that mostly repeats the post is marked Restates the post.
The check is advice only. It never blocks publishing, and no tool can promise reach. Try it without an account: the free AI slop checker at /tools/ai-slop-checker.
